Does anyone know if they made XR4 Longchamps in 16 inch sizes, or 16x8 for that matter? Also, does anyone know where I could get them (in any size)?

You can get them from takumiproject.com. They sometimes have a set. I think they can also find them for you.

I don't know if they're available new or not. I've never seen them larger than 15"

Well, the word on the street is SSR, who made the longchamps, are no longer.
Just until last year were orders for 17" Formula Mesh at about $400 a wheel were still 'orderable'.

I don't think longchamps are made anymore, even before the recent news.

I've seen 14/15/16 and 17" diameter made, but 16 and 17" basically never left japan so best chance of finding them is somebody / some store that gets wheels in from japan.

EDIT: Junkie has the only 17x7, 17x8 staggared set of Longchamps that I know of in existance, and this set has the right offsets to fit his lowly L type...

id love to find a nice set of 16 longchamps for old school looks, but people seem to think theyre made of gold or something.
man, crazy prices for a pretty plain wheel.

More wheel nerd info.

The original Longchamp was model XR-4S.

Here's a 15" -1 example, about 20 years old:

The Longchamp carried through the change in the poularity of different cars and the market demand for 16 and 17" sizes. It became model XR-4Z.

Here's Junkie's 17" +20 7j and 8j:

Basically offsets went positive over time and the SSR Longchamp is a wheel that spanned that 'era'.

Its an awesome old-school look that you don't see often. I've got a pair of 15 x 9 (-15 offset) with almost 4.5 inches of lip. They fit nicely on the back but look rather small, a larger diameter size would be so much sweeter. I also used to run 14 x 8 in the front with similar offset, but they were way too wide and stuck out past the over-fender. I'm sorry that I don't have pics of them mounted, both pair are currently sitting on a shelf in my garage. They were retired after being replaced by Watanabe's. Damn, I wish I had space for a second MK2!
