What's the diameter tallest tire you can fit in the wheel well? 25"? I'm looking to get some 15x8 Draglites w/ET streets for the rears and am trying to determine what the tallest tire is w/out rubbing. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Wade, the stock diameter is 24.63". Some peeps are running 275/40-17s which are 25.66" tall.... So it will depend on the offset of your draglites if you will rub or not. I would think that 25" would work ok if the wheel is close to stock offset...so single digit positive or zero offset

Bill's 14" drag tires look taller than that.....hmmmmm,gonna have to call him and have him measure.......Hoosier Bias from summitt IIRC.

Something I wanted to try (for the look) was a bigger diameter rim of the same style as the front rim.

15/16" really has some really light rims, coupled with 16/17" in the rear.
Better tire width selection as you go 16 to 19".
The new carrera 4 gets 305s! in 19" for example in the rear

Nice. Didn't know he was using DRs lol.

Yea, 14" rim with big tall sidewalls are really the way to go. Got lots of give in the sidewalls. Also, want a larger circumference to get a bit more from 1st gear.

26in tall should fit fine. 28, id worry a lil bit. if your buying slicks for the 8in wide rim, get some 26x10.5x15 et streets. they will fit fine.

Another thing that will effect tire fitment is your suspension setup/ride height, etc..

yeah I had 205/75/14s for "winter" tires on my 1st supra in Mass, I believe they were about 26" tall, fit fine (looked horrible though, ha)
