The '83+ Celica XX 2800GT 8-spoke factory wheels or even the '81-'82 model with the fat spoke/tapered wheels? I would love to get a set of 4. I stumbled across one site so far in CA that imports JDM wheels. If anyone knows where else to look online for these... I would be forever grateful!!!

I think he's referring to both L-type styles... the '81-84 L-types in north america had the earlier style, the '85 L-types (which are rare enough as it is) had the later style.

From Rosso's excellent brochure posts on Celica XX's... see the 1981 and 1983 Celica 2800GT wheels.

Now that I look closer... the '83 2800GT possibly has the same wheels as the Celica Supra P-type? Hard to tell for sure in the brochure... the '83 XX looks like they may be powder-coated?

I was surprised to see a 15" spare in the trunk also...

NateAs I said - you're looking for L-type wheels. Ignore the Celica XX business as it only complicates the matter. The 4-spoke style is going to be the easiest to find. They are 14x5.5 +22 and came on all L-types through 1984. The P-type lookalikes are just that - they are 15x6 +20 (not 100% sure on the offset) and only appeared on '85 L-types. Observe that these are not P-type wheels, they just look the same. Good luck actually obtaining a set of the latter - they do not come around often.

Thanks... I wasn't sure that the US market received the same wheels as JP domestic did... thats why I referred to the XX cars... since they offered different motors in the JP market also.

Dean,

Offset is +27. :D
The 15 x 6" offset is correct.
Bama: Unless you already have a L-Type, these wheels (IMO) are going to look silly on our P-Type cars. The narrower width & the bigger positive offset, will make the wheels sit inside the fender more & the flares will really stick out.

Thanks for all the info... Chris, your right... I don't wanna step backwards with the stock wheels... jus thought maybe the JPN wheels were different than the those sent abroad... I will continue restoring the stock P-type wheels I have.
