Ok, I found a set of compomotive wheels at a good price, but I want to make sure they are 16x8 with 0-10mm offset... Seller says they are, but I'm not 100% sure.

He email me some pictures, tires are 245/50/16... I know 245/50 would'nt work on a 7'' wide, but I think it's maybe a 7.5''...

Anyone has an idea??? I just want a second opinion before I go trhu all the trouble to get them overhere.

I saw it... I'm just not sure of the width of the rims... 7.5'' or 8''.

According to the chart:

7.5" would be 0mm offset
8.0" would be -6mm offset.

Either one would fit the MkII.

BTW - you need a pedicure!

I dont think anybody made 7.5" width rims. Assuming 7" offset is +6, 8" is -6.
The tire size and fit on the rim lead me to believe its a 16x8 which means go for it!

I have a set of Epsilon Mesh 16x7.5s. Would be glad to post a photo with a ruler laid on them. Have also regularly seen 16x7.5 BBS mesh rims on Rinkya- would buy a set, but all I can find are 5x114.3s!

That be great if you could do that.

From his photo, total width of the rims seems about 8.25'' wide, wich would make me believe it a 7,5'' wide rims... not sure if Compomotive ever did that size.

Talk to the guys @ Motorsports Specialties (www.usacomp.com). They are the exclusive distributors for Compomotives in the US. You'll need to show them the pictures of the wheels, since this is a discontinued model & is not in their current online catalog/website. (ie: I don't even know what model Compo's these are.. And they are not the CXN's.).

:) My 16" epsilons are 8.375" measured width but I'd call them 16 x 7j.
The reason being the tire bead sits in a 7" wide valley with vertical walls.

It's just different manufacturers use a different width 'rolled edge' on each side of that valley. Epsilons are just wider than the normal 1/2" rolled edge per side.

the seller doesn't ship... so it's complicated to buy them, but lucky me, a friend of mine will pick them up for me this week-end and I'll have them ship next week to Montreal.

205/55R16 is very close to the stock 225/60R14. So it's like running the same size up front, just stiffer sidewall, I like it. The car handles amazing with these on it, paired with the tokico's and st springs.
