OK,
I have read the various threads on tires, and wheels, and see that one member has installed some 245/60/14 tires on the supra, and they don't have any issues, w/ rubbing.
My question, I have purchased new wheels, 16" wheels, w/ 0 offset. I want to install some 245/50/16 on the wheels. Since they are relatively the same diameter as the 14" wheels w/ 60 series tires, will they fit w/0 rubbing.
Does anyone have these installed on their car?

No, they will not fit without cutting, grinding, on the front fender flares, and may still rub over big bumps. Go with a 245/45/16 and save yourself the headache.

245/45-16 are the size you want the 50 series are bit tall. Ran 245/45-16 for years as you will see on the rear of this '84 I owned years ago. Pic was taken around '91.

16x7 enkie 92's with 0 0ffset. 225 tires in front and 245 tires in the back. yes they fit. first pics are 245/45/16 in the rear. the ones with nittos are 245/50/16 and never rub. fronts are always 225/50/16. i have fit 275/50/15 nitto drag radials on the back with 15x7 0 offset rims with no bubbing. but no pics of them mounted.

OK, good info, thanks guys. So, RSDEO, you are saying that if I ran 45's that the tires will not rub, thus allowing me to rotate them. Or, I could buy 235/50/16 for the front & 245/50's for the back,? and they WOULD fit, or still rub.

225/50-16 front and 245/45-16 rear there will be no rubbing issues, but you can't rotate. 245/45-16 all around and there will be sight rubbing issues front only.
Go staggered.

I've ran 245/45/16 all around on zero offset wheel and they fit perfect with no issues
245/50r16 with a 0 offset the tires rub a little on the front nothing a "little" trimming wont take care of.....and with going with a 0 offset you should be going a little taller to keep the alignment specs proper (scub radius... wikipedia has a good description of what it is) if you want the car to center correctly and not wear parts and tires....fit and correct are two different things http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrub_radius

OK, jrok,
It appears that you are running 245/50's on the front and rear, and as you posted, "slight" rub. How much did you have to trim, and where did you trim? The flares? There are more choices w/ the 50 series, and I think the speedometer, would probably be more accurate re: the ratio too. So, if possible I would like to run the 50 series:.

just have to trim the lip under the flare flush...it does take the tabs where the inner fender connects but it stays up there just fine

i think i'm going to do this, my momo wheels are 16x7. that is, if i decide to take the sexy p-types off.
i did find with some real hard driving im going to have to trim or bend a little of my front fender in the center but with the trimming of the flaire was good...
