It's called a fender roller - not a fender bender (that has a whole different meaning lol!)
The work well on metal - but they won't do anything for fiberglass flares!
They are quite popular in the hot-rod community - they do allow larger tires while still keeping the stock look.

Wear safety glasses, because when you hit our fiberglass flares with that sucker, it's going to pieces.

but yeah, if your cars paint is pristine along with the body, its almost obligatory to roll them properly. because ghetto rolling if not done properly can crack the paint in the fender arches and give water a nice little place to settle!

Yeah if you read the discription below it says fender roller. And you are actually bending your fender and you are using a roller, I used fender bender for the title because that is what you are actually doing.
Many L-type people would like to have the option to have the same size tires (width 225-60)as the P-Type without the rubbing, I put my wheels and tires off of my P on my L and I really like the look of the wider tires I don't know if bending or rolling the fender lip up would give you enough clearance but it would give you some.

Fiberglass rear flares can easily be cut, ground or even filed down. The inner metal lip can then be rolled. What's the big deal? I will look into getting one of these.
Thanks for the link.

i dont remember there being anything there to roll on the p-types? it was my understanding that the fender roller basically bends the lip of the fender to allow about 1/4-1/2" of clearance or so depending on the car. i've also heard of guys cutting the lip off and having it painted for even more clearance. you still want to be careful when using the fender roller because you can crack the paint if its not done properly.

yeah that video shows using a hot air gun to soften the paint.

It should be noted that the panels are built with those "lips" to add lateral rigidity. Where with the lip, the fender could withstand some soccer-mom's 155lb suburban door swinging open into it, without it may well crease in.

thats how all the best old-skool hot rodders do it. before paint, they use the bat.
saw it on American Hot-Rod.

I have a friend that has one of these, he rents it out to the camaro groups. It seems to work pretty nice.
