i have gone to tire shop after tire shop and nobody can find rims for my mk2. we tryed on some FWD 17" rims but those didn't fit because the offset was too big (40mm). so i tryed to find some RWD 17's and no luck. can somebody help me? i don't wanna pay 300 a wheel but that might be the only way. i love the rims on the celicasupra.com project car. where can you find rims like those?

Look in the Group Buy section..... See the current GP we have ongoing for the ROH's.
Also look for past GP's that we had for Braids & the Forgeline LS's.
See the aftermarket wheel section in the FAQ on celicasupra.com.
Because of our bolt pattern size, along w/ our oddball offset, DON'T expect to find anything in most wheel/tire shops that you can purchase off the shelf. You'll have to get something custom made, thus the previous GP's, or the wheels that are listed in the FAQ.
CS project car. Simmons OM's. You'll have to order them from Australia, or talk to James R (SupraGTR). Be aware that these are NOT $300 rims a piece.
Also use the Search function....

also Compomotive sells rims that fit, as well as Hoshinos (yes, they are still being made, if you can speak Japanese!).

volk gt-a 17x8 and 17x9 is available in a +16MM offset
you'd still need to work with spacing and such
does it have to be 17?? there are a few more options in the 16 inch

I've got at least one more 17" ROH Snyper set available when the container arrives in August. If you want them email me at jrazor@wheel1.com.
Specs:
Front: 17x8 +17 4-114.3
Rear: 17x9 +17 4-114.3

IIRC, they are now called Impul, but still carry them fugly-lookin' Hoshino rims!

Hmmm, I guess I was mistaken. I thought they had a 0 offset, but I am known to be wrong every now and then!!! :D
I'll ask some friends if they know about where to get 'em, not sure if Impul can custom make the proper size or if they still have some of the old Hoshinos layin' around.
Oh and yes, those are the fugly lookin' rims I was referring to!!! Seems that you either love 'em or just hate 'em. I'm just not liking that look...

i love em, i'd grab a set soooo fast. only thing is..the size they offer are 14 and 15. if i'm gonna buy new rims, i rather get somethin bigger. or else i'm happy with the stock ones.
