I need to know how to get the corrosion off the wheels. I'm refinishing the wheels and the nasty curb rash I was able to sand out . . . but I cannot get the corrosion out to save my life! It's only about 2 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. Anybody got any ideas?? And I don't wanna hear about panting the wheels.

(in case you can't guess it's from wheel weights on the front of the wheel)

sanding....
lol, i just helped my friend do this on his 944... its a bitch.
go to home depot and grab some of those rectangular foamy sanding blocks, the ones with two grits work well for me.
then a bunch of wet and dry sand paper, starting at about 320, 500, 600, 800 and thats about it.
of course, you SHOULD polish afterwards, but once you do the first wheel, your gonna want to do the others.
have fun.
*is just going to paint his wheels*

ah man, I guess I'll try getting those sanding sponges and see if they work any better. Thanks.

You might wanna check out Suprawes's website. He's got a whole write up on this.
