I just got a 85 P Type on Friday and since the front 2 Cooper Cobras are pretty worn I'm looking to replace them all.
I read about the Falken's and when I go to http://www.bigotires.com (and they seem to be the exclusive distributor of the tire) they recommend the light truck version for the P Type and then the 502's for the L type. The 502's will fit on the P Type at 225/60/14 correct?

Also pop in to the local Discount Tire & see if they can order them. Sometimes they can just about order anything. Otherwise, pop into Sears Automotive, I KNOW they can order the Ziex 502's.
Big O & Les Shwab...... Sometimes I wonder about them....

Do you know how the prices are through Sears?

I got mine from a local dealer I found on the Falken Website
They cost about $390 installed (Canadian) that about $90 cheaper than the price of the replacement BFG's without installation.
My Dealer told me they were a discontinued model and he could only get 12 of them. He's down to eight of them now :)

I got mine from a local tire shop they ordered them and had them there with in two hours :P
Next best thing would probably be Vulcan tire
Sears will sell them to ya
however, they will try to bend you over and take it in buttocks for them  they overprice everything there

I called Discount Tire and they will match the pricing on VulcanTire.com.
$44x4 = $176 + tax and disposal of old tires and new valve stems = about $200 including free mounting.
I may just get 2 though as my rear tires are fine but the fronts are worn.

Personally, I'd get all 4. Keep the other 2 current ones as spares (for whatever emergency). But that's just me & my asthetics hangup (likes all 4 tires to match).

Well I plan on getting the rears changed ASAP but the fronts NEED it bad and moneywise I may only be able to get the front 2 at this time.

Went it Discount and they had to call around, but were able to find me 4 tires. I was told at first he may not be able to find them. Get them while you can.
