OK no fights cause i think that this is a fairly touchy subject but just post what you think/was taught to you
on a 225/50R14 the 50 is the side wall height(duh) in a percentage form based on the width of the tire
225 should have a 11.25 cm sidewall height
ps could someone explain what excatlly u mean by a 50 Series tire?

A 50 series tyre is one with an aspect ratio of 50. For example a 225/50-16 tyre has an aspect ratio of 50 and a 225/45-17 tyre has an aspect ratio of 45 (a 45 series tyre).
The 50 and 45 are the height of the sidewall. It is a percentage of the width in mm. So a 225/50-16 tyres sidewall height is 0.50x225.

yes, so a 195/70 has a width of 195mm and a height of 136.5mm (195mm * 70%)
