Hi All,

I need to be thinking about getting some new tyres for my MK2 and
they are getting very difficult to source here in the UK.

The tyre size is 225/60 VR 14. Can anybody here in the UK tell me
where I may be able to get hold of these size tyres new? I may be
interested in good used tyres if anybody has any for sale.

All the best,

Dave...

When I was looking for tires, I found a deal on 215/60/14's. They are only 0.4" narrower and were available.

Welcome to the forum. What part of the UK are you from? I was born and lived in Birmingham till I was 10 years old.

Try looking on the net. Is there a BF Goodrich dealer close to you? They have 225/60-14 tyres available as well as 245/50-14 that most people like here, it's a nice upgrade from the stock size for the stock wheel.

Or you can upgrade to a larger wheel such as 17 inch or 18 inch. Try Compamotive in the UK or Braid in Spain. The British Pound being so strong I bet the Braids should be reasonably priced for you.
